With immense pleasure and pride, on this auspicious day of 10th June 2025, I take charge as the Principal of J. B. Sawant Education Society’s Tikambhai Metha Commerce College, Mangaon, Raigad, Maharashtra. Nestled in the rural, hilly, and picturesque location amid vast open spaces and fields of Bamnoli Road, Mangaon, in the district of Raigad, in the state of Maharashtra, we boast of the best geographical location, with abundant green trees and grass and an unmatched clear and healthy atmosphere, with the clearest and widest possible skyline above. Our college is second to none for the vibrant atmosphere and location most conducive for our reputed higher education institution.

The college was established in the year 1989 as a premier educational institution, with the noble purpose of providing quality education to the needy, young, and deserving youth of Mangaon. The college seeks to provide quality education as per the norms of the University of Mumbai, to which it is affiliated.

Currently, as the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is underway and in the complete implementation phase, our college follows all the norms and ideals, adhering to the structure and syllabus prescribed by it.

Keeping in mind the basic principle of higher education—that is, the best interest of the student—the college seeks to impart education for the all-round development and empowerment of the student, enabling them to acquire academic credentials and personal empowerment. Over the years, the college has grown into a respected centre of learning, consistently working towards educational upliftment, social awareness, and empowerment of young minds. The college has played a significant role in shaping the educational landscape of this region.

My vision as Principal is to maintain academic standards while implementing progressive educational practices that help students grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially. I am committed to ensuring that, every student, who steps into this institution, discovers their potential and walks out with confidence, character, and competence.
